Once again we are working with Eurosport Racing in the IMSA/ALMS Cooper Prototype Lites series. Steve is filling in for one of the teams long time Crew Chiefs running car #4 with Driver Antonio Downs. This guy is a talented driver capable of great things. We look forward to a growing opportunity with the Eurosport/Downs relationship and will deliver the best car possible.

Just returning from our first event at Sebring and in re-coop mode. The week was a mixed bag. Starting off the week with a car that had some challenges kept me from giving Antonio a good car for qualifying. I found some of the problems in the test sessions and then found critical issues the night before qualifying. The problem here is that the car cannot be tested before and you get what you get. we developed a push half way through quali and ended up dropping from 3rd to eighth in the with the overall gap .5 seconds covering 3rd to 8th.

I made some changes for the race and unfortunately we cut a tire down on the first lap. No fault of Antonio just someone spinning out right in front of him and mild contact. Antonio told me the car felt like it would still push so I decided to make some more drastic changes. This means we take a chance of going the other way in a last race of the weekend making the whole event a bust for the team.

It turned out the car was good enough for Antonio to bring the car from 21st (dead last) to 4th place in the span of 15 laps. I think you can understand what this guy can do now right? Look for better results in the coming rounds! Thanks to Charley and Matt for an excellent team effort!

Congratulations to Lucas, Paul, and Jeremy for their win.

Thanks Antonio

In June of this year, Steve had the amazing opportunity to co-drive with John Morton at the RMVR  2.5 Trans Am event.  We had a great time driving the WRR FP Datsun 510 which performed without fail.

John started dead last in a field of 30 or so cars and finished 13th overall. I'd say he still has it!

The amazing thing was that he was driving a car he had never driven on a track he never raced.

He is a classy and down to earth guy for such an accomplished race car driver and had a great sense of humor.

I've included some photos in our pics section.
